Oatmeal Breakfast and Toppings

Oatmeal for Breakfast!

Oatmeal is a great breakfast alternative to protein bars and processed breakfast bars.  With the New Year ahead, lots of people will be adding weight loss to their New Years Resolution “list”.  If that’s on your list, include a hearty, healthy oatmeal to start off your day.  Skip the packaged oatmeal and add your own toppings.  This way you are controlling the amount of sugar that goes into your meals.  Cook the oatmeal with milk for extra protein.

My favorite toppings are honey with a dash of cinnamon.  Fresh fruits are also a great add or maple syrup.
