Baked Acorn Squash With Brown Sugar and Maple
Anyone watch Paula Deen on Food Network? If you did, then you remember that she loves butter and anything sugary.  This is basically her recipe but I reduced the sugar and added water into the pan.  Adding water into the pan allows for the acorn to steam bake for a softer flesh. Warning, this is not a fat free altered recipe but it sure does make boring acorn squash taste better.
