Boiled Potatoes
Boiled potatoes are simple and a great alternative to mashed potatoes as a side.  In Norway, all they serve are these boiled potatoes next to the best Salmon you'll ever eat. Adding the salt into pot in the first step is key.  Make sure not to forget that step!

  1. In a medium pot, combine potatoes and salt. Make sure you add enough water into pot to cover potatoes. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to a simmer. Cook potatoes for about 10 minutes or until potatoes are tender upon fork perching.

  2. Drain water off of potatoes and return to heat. Add butter and allow to melt.
