Polenta is basically cooked cornmeal.  It’s great and easy to make.  You can add cheese to it, herbs, bake it, grill it, or fry it.  It’s very versatile.

Add any cheese you like into this recipe.  Hope you like it!

  • 1
    Instant Polenta, 9 oz Package
  • 2 Cups
  • 2 & 1/2 Cups
  • Salt and Pepper to taste
  • 2 Tablespoons
    Parmesan Cheese, Grated (Optional)
  • 1 Tablespoon


  1. In a sauce pan, heat milk and water together and allow it to come to a boil

  2. Add polenta and salt to taste. Stir well for 3 minutes or until polenta adsorbs all the liquids.

  3. Add pepper, if desired

  4. Stir in cheese and butter.

  5. In a buttered 9 x 13 inch pan, spread the polenta and allow to cool.

  6. Once cooled, flip out of the pan onto a board and cut into six sections.

    Store for up to 3 days in the fridge. Enjoy the polenta by grilling, baking, sauteing or frying it.
