This is a fun recipe for your Mickey Mouse waffle maker. You can also use any other fun shaped waffle maker that your family loves. I’ve seen everything from Star Wars Death Star Waffle makers to cute Olaf ones. Have fun with it! It’s also a great way to get your kids to try new things.
If you want a big, crispy waffle, this is not your recipe. Go with the Belgian waffle maker and make sure your recipe has corn starch in it. That recipe will be on the website soon enough.
For now, this is the fun “toddler” friendly version =)
Mix all dry ingredients in a large bowl.
Mix all wet ingredients in a medium bowl. Add into dry mix. Mix well but don't over mix. Allow the batter to rest while you are heating up the waffle iron.
The batter makes about 5 waffles. For each waffle, it uses about 3/4 cup. Spread into the shape of your waffle maker evenly.
Each waffle will take 2-5 minutes to cook. Timing depends on your waffle maker. Check your waffle maker instructions for cooking times.
Repeat until batter is gone.
Serve with maple syrup or your favorite compote.
...or honey, that's how my toddler likes her waffles =)
